Try this on for size ... the CD album includes country, western swing, bluegrass, and there's a humble man's lonely need, moonshiner, white lightning, troubled past, chasin' women, my gal's left me, my good girl needs to be a little bad, working in a coal mine, and drivin' under the influence!  Top it if you can, but I don't think I've ever heard as many sad ass and happy stories on one CD.  Way to go Dick!  Dick Barnes writes, performs and takes a hand in producing his own music.  So, if you wanta blame anyone for this CD being good .. just blame Dick.  Those musicians should be picking in Nashville. A great job by all!  It's on HSP (Hot Star Publishing).

Dick Barnes is 100% Country and has written all these wonderful tunes. There is something for everyone with songs ranging from Country to Bluegrass and good ol' Country Gospel. An extra bonus with Dick's writing is his ability to put down some real entertaining novelty numbers. A must CD for Country lovers.

Booze It & Lose It is a powerful message that we need to eliminate drunk driving.

We have made great progress since MADD's founding in 1980. But it still is the most tolerated, frequently commited violent crime in America. We need to support law enforcement, stop the "catch and release" approach by the courts, make ignition interlocks required for all convicted drunk drivers, and work for advanced technology that will not allow drunk drivers to start their vehicles in the coming years. Great song and it will help to save lives on the highway.

The music is great and it brings a message of highway safety. The Booze It & Lose It song should be on every juke box in every bar and played before closing time to save lives. Roaring out of the Carolina dirt roads loaded with a humorous but serious message.

Booze It and Lose It is a message song with a country flair is very appealing. I really like the upbeat tempo and the sound of the banjo in the middle is a real plus.
