About Dick Barnes:Dick Barnes has been
performing since the young age of three. Coming from a family of 12
children that is made up two Gospel Quartets and a Duet, Dick's early
years were spent performing in many churches throughout the south. His
deep musical roots broadened over the years to include performing
country western and bluegrass music. He has shared the stage with many
well known artist. His broad versatility along with his extraordinary
gift for writing and recording songs is evidenced by the Country,
Bluegrass and Novelty songs on these CDs. Dick's future plans include
the release of more of the songs he has written and he intends to
continue writing and performing new material. Dick is a native of North

“Booze It & Lose It” Released Nationally
ADVANCE, N.C. – Dick Barnes announces the national release of his country song “Booze It & Lose It,” which was originally available only in North Carolina. The “Booze It & Lose It” single shares the goal of the campaign with the same name – to raise awareness of and prevent drunk driving. Of the release, Barnes says, “The greatest accomplishment of any songwriter or musician is the creation of a song that has a positive impact on the lives of those who hear it. I am confident the ‘Booze It & Lose It’ song will continue to contribute to saving lives on our highways by encouraging those that drink to think twice and act responsibly before driving impaired.” IGO Records has included the single, which is being promoted by Airplay Specialists Radio Promotion, as part of a compilation released by CDX Music to over 2,000 country stations. In North Carolina, the song has been championed by the Governor’s Highway Safety Program, the Highway Patrol and the commissioner of the Department of Insurance, Jim Long. Mothers Against Drunk Driving has also applauded the release.
